Job Summary

The Catering Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing catering operations to ensure high-quality food and service. They will manage catering staff, liaise with clients, and ensure that events run smoothly while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities


  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the catering and events sector to achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
  • Oversee daily catering operations, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, customize menus, and handle special requests.
  • Plan and manage catering budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability.
  • Hire, train, and supervise catering staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Coordinate logistics for events such as embassy events, corporate functions, and conferences.
  • Ensure timely setup, execution, and breakdown of catering events.
  • Monitor food preparation and service, ensuring high standards in presentation and taste.
  • Address customer concerns, last-minute changes, and operational challenges efficiently.
  • Attend industry networking events and represent the company to promote catering services.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering management software.

Skills 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing high-value deals.
  • Strong network of contacts within the events and hospitality industry is a plus.
